China government do not want to sign unfair trading agreements, so Trump start to trade war with China, and improve a lot of import Tax from China. That cause the factories in China do not have enough orders, nearly 20% capacity is stopped. And also the Chinese government start to treat very strict on environmental protection. Factories have very hard days. Bad demand is most important reason for plastic prices. We called this period waves washing the sands.

How to choose Food Industry Gloves

In food industry, gloves are used a lot,contain disposable gloves and non disposable. Though plastic will cause a lot of environment problem, but if food factories don’t use them, how can we easy to eat their foods?

Non disposable gloves mainly used in wash and hard work, but not good for workers, because they are very big usually. Disposable gloves are easy to wear and use, and more hygiene than non-disposables. In food industry, people mainly use HDPE gloves, LDPE gloves, CPE gloves, TPE gloves, Nitrile Gloves. HDPE and LDPE gloves are called poly gloves too. They are very very cheap and thin, so very welcome in food industry and restaurant, also PE can kill bacteria, good for food industry. But because it’s too thin, it can’t be used for a long time work or a hard work in food factories. In 1990s, CPE gloves developed by Japanese customers to take place of  PVC gloves in food factories, they are much thicker than PE, and no harm to people’s health and environment if recycle them after using. CPE gloves mainly have embossing that can help hands to catch things and not easy to broke, so japanese food factories mainly use it. I think USA and Europe food industry will also use them much more in the future if their laws ban them to use PVC gloves. Nitrile Gloves are much more expensive than the others, though it is better for using. If factories’ owner thought it worth to pay more money for workers working,it worth. TPE gloves are developed by this point, it’s much cheaper than Nnitrile gloves, but can be very simillar feeling when you use it. So more and more food factories start to use it.

Why we should use food contact gloves and how to choose

More and more  bacteria and viruses invade human’s lives, especially in the air and water, then go into the foods, finally get into people’s body, make we sick and not healthy before we knew it.

People new has increased the sense of hygiene in last years, the average of chinese human longevity has increased to 73, but it is only 44 in 1960s, people protect themselves much better when they have better life. It is not happen in China, also happen in the world. From 1960 to 2016,world’s average human longevity increased from 52 to 68 years old.

Eating food is the main channel that bacteria and viruses go into people’s bodies, so it is very important to keep food clean and hygiene. Hands are what we use to eat foods, it is very important to keep hands clean and hygiene.

Clean and disinfect hands or wear gloves on hands is the main way to protect hands and foods, especially in food making factory or food market, workers are needed to do both, clean, disinfect hands, then wear gloves. I suggest you to use disposable gloves to avoid cross infection between foods.

Recently in the world, disposable gloves mainly include Poly gloves, CPE gloves, TPE gloves, Vinyl Gloves, NBR gloves and Latex gloves. I suggest you use poly gloves or CPE gloves or TPE gloves. Some food is acidic or alkalinity, Vinyl gloves, NBR gloves are not able to resistance them and easy to drop its material into the food. So Europe and Japan has forbidden to use Vinyl gloves in food industry. Latex gloves are very rich and may cause allergy to human, so very less people like to use it in food contacting. Poly gloves, CPE gloves and TPE gloves are made from PE, Polyethylene. It is high resistance to acidic and alkalinity, and also because PE material are very cheap and easy to get, the prices of those gloves are cheapest!  And another important is PE also resistance to bacteria and viruses! That cause those gloves widely used and are the biggest quantity in the world.

Japanese mainly use Blue CPE gloves in food factories for workers, because they are thicker than PE, can used for a whole day, good water tightness. American customers mainly purchase HDPE for food factories, because they are very easy to use and cheapest!

How much time you will use the disposable gloves on your hands is very important reason to choose gloves. If you will wear a pair of gloves for a whole day, i suggest you use CPE or TPE gloves. If you just wear a pair of gloves for a while, Poly gloves is ok enough. If you will do something complex food or work, TPE can help a lot, because they are fit you hands well.

When you choose PE or CPE or TPE gloves, first test them, wear a piece of glove, make fist 50 times to see whether it’s broken or not. Secondly you need to open a box to check is there any broken gloves and count one boxes whether the quantity is enough for printed quantity on the box. Finaly fill the glove full of water to check whether it can bear the weight. If all test past, congratulations, you have chosen the good one.

LDPE and HDPE Material and Films Used for Poly Gloves

    Polyethylene (PE) is a polymer polymerization by ethylene, it developed about 60 years, biggest global quantity of all the resins. And LDPE and HDPE is the most used in PE.

LDPE(Low Density Polyethylene), mainly used in bags, farm films and other sealing products, because of its low density, soft feeling and very good sealing quality.

    HDPE(High Density Polyethylene), mainly used in blowing and injecting, because of its high density, strong steam permeability resistance and environmental stress cracking resistance, and very good electrical insulation and impact resistance! It is used most.
    LDPE’s crystallinity is usually 55%-65%, but HDPE is 80%-90%, and even more.
    In our protect film industry, LDPE,HDPE and LLDPE is used most. LDPE is soft, shine, better elongation and good for sealing, HDPE is strong, better tensile, stable, translucent and can be  blown into very thin, even thinner than a piece of paper, 5 micron.
    LDPE can be used in blowing machine and casting machine, but HDPE normally can not be used in casting machines, because the fluidity, LDPE’s fluidity is from 1.8-4.0, we use 2.0 mainly for blowing, use 2.0-4.0 for casting. HDPE’s fluidity is from 1.0-2.0, very few items can reach 2.0, because the crystallinity is very high, mainly for blowing.
    We mainly use only HDPE for very thin product, use HDPE add LDPE for more shiny and transparent and air compressive strength.
    LDPE films are stick, shiny and better elongation, HDPE films are fragile, translucent and better tensile.

LLDPE Material, Most Important Material in Poly Gloves

    LLDPE, full name is Linear Low Density Polyethylene.
    LLDPE, it is a copolymer of ethylene and a small amount of high-grade α-olefin, a catalyst that under high pressure or low pressure polymerization. The density is between 0.915 and 0.940 g/cc. However, according to ASTM D-1248-84, the density range from 0.926 to 0.940 g/cc is called MDPE. The new generation has expanded the density to plastic polymers (0.890 to 0.915 g/cc) and elastomers (<0.890 g/cc). But the American Plastics Industry Association (SPI) and the American Plastics Industry Council (APC) only extend the scope of LLDPE to plastic polymers, excluding elastomers. In the 1980s, Union Carbide and Dow Chemical referred to their early sales of plastomers and elastomers as very low density polyethylene (VLDPE) and ultra low density polyethylene (ULDPE) resins.
    The normal LLDPE’s molecular structure is characterized by its linear main chain, with or without few long branched chains, but with some short branched chains. The crystallinity of polymers is higher without long branched chains.
    LLDPE products are non-toxic,odorless,looked like milky white particles. Compared with LDPE, it has higher strength, better toughness, stronger rigidity, better hot and cold resistance,it also has good environmental stress cracking resistance,tear resistance,acid,alkali and organic solvent resistance.
    Because the melting point of LLDPE is higher than H P-LDPE, the model products of LLDPE can be demoulded at a higher temperature, fast and clean. Because the melting point range of LLDPE is narrower than that of H P-LDPE, the film of LLDPE has better sealing performance and higher thermal bonding strength.The main application fields of LLDPE are agricultural film, packaging film, wires and cables, pipes, coated products, etc.It is mainly used in produing film because of its high tensile strength, good puncture resistance and tear resistance. World LLDPE consumption in 2005 was 16.17 million tons, up 6.4% year on year. In the consumption structure, film products are still the largest proportion, with consumption of 11.9 million tons, accounting for 73.6% of the total consumption.
